Lauren (she/her) believes that everyone has the capacity for change and healing with the support of trusting and empathetic relationships. She strives to create a safe space to explore the patterns in our behaviors and how the past may be impacting their present. Lauren specializes in early childhood mental health and supporting parents to strengthen co-regulation and attachment relationships. Grounded in trauma, relational, developmental, and attachment theories, Lauren uses an integrative approach, including techniques in play-based interventions, dyadic work, reflective exploration, Circle of Security, Conscious Discipline, and mindful self-compassion.
With a background in community mental health and preschool day treatment services, Lauren has worked with individuals from diverse ages, races, cultures, incomes, religious affiliations, and gender/sexual orientations. Additionally, she has experience working with children in foster care/adoption. Lauren is trained in DC:0-5 assessment for children age 0-5 and Trauma-Informed Child Parent Psychotherapy (TI-CPP), holds a certificate in Maternal Mental Health, is registered as a Circle of Security Parenting facilitator (COSP), is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and is endorsed as an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist (ECMH-E).
Lauren provides clinical supervision to clinicians seeking licensure in Minnesota as a BOSW and BBHT approved supervisor. She’s also endorsed as a reflective supervisor, providing consultation to community agencies and therapists.
