With over a decade of a background in the fitness community and competitive powerlifting-health and wellness is a passion of mine. My goal as a clinician is to work with you as a whole person through combining mind, body, and spirit as we walk through your healing journey. I have experience including (but not limited to) athletics and performance-based concerns, anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship issues (e.g. domestic violence, divorce), grief and loss, life transitions, and stress management. I have also worked with individuals that are also in professional healthcare settings. I offer individual therapy, life coaching for ages 14 and older, and consultations.
My specialties include: trauma, integrative health and wellness, and working with performance-based hobbies, athletics, and those within the fitness community (i.e. bodybuilding, powerlifting, CrossFit, strongman, team sports, individual sports, or any other performance-related hobbies/occupations). If you are looking for someone that understands the complications of athletics and fitness-related hobbies, I am hopeful I can be of help to you.
I naturally take a trauma-informed, holistic approach- using psychoeducation, Polyvagal Theory, bits of existentialism and Jungian theory. However, my approach is eclectic, and I apply what is best appropriate for each clients’ unique circumstances. I enjoy implementing use of creative methods such as art directives, writing, music, and beyond.
I am dually licensed in both Minnesota (LPCC) and Wisconsin (LPC). I have certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Advanced Nutrition and Integrative Health for Mental Health Professionals, and personal training. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology through University of Wisconsin – River Falls, and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Bethel University.
