Corrine has been a therapist since 2015 and has worked in a range of settings with folks from a range of backgrounds. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist (ECMHS).
She works with adults, often mothers, children and teens. When working with adults and teens, Corrine uses a psychodynamic, empathetic and insight oriented approach. She has a strong understanding of attachment theory and is always curious about how one’s past is impacting their present. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
When working with children, Corrine uses play to support expression of thoughts and feelings and to increase connection and attunement between children and their caregivers. She works closely with caregivers to support them in understanding the meaning behind their child’s behavior and to help strengthen parent-child relationships. She believes that children speak in behavior and heal through play. Corrine is trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), which is a model used to help young children (from infancy to age 6) heal from stress and trauma alongside their caregivers.
